Move over ballet flats; there’s a new shoe in town. Jazz shoes are quickly becoming the definitive flat footwear to own this fall, pushing Mary Janes, loafers, and our once-favorite slip-ons to the sidelines.

The flexible alternative looks like it sashayed right out of the dance room, with a low-profile silhouette, soft square or round toe, and lace-up vamp. But while the chic jazz shoe feels fresh for the autumn season, it’s not entirely new to the fashion scene.
